Inspection HVAC

Rigorous inspection of your ventilation, heating and air conditioning systems for optimal performance

Your ventilation, heating and air conditioning systems work silently, but when they malfunction, everyone feels it: stale air, uneven temperatures, rising energy bills, or occupants getting sick without anyone knowing why.

See what the eye can't see

The actual state of your equipment, its hidden flaws, and the corrections to make before it really costs you.

To better understand

What is HVAC?

HVAC stands for  Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
Simply put: all the equipment that regulates temperature and air quality in a building. It's the set of systems that keep you warm in winter, cool in summer, and breathing clean air year-round.

C
Heating

Furnace, heat pump, radiant floor, boiler. Everything that produces heat and distributes it through the building.

V
Ventilation

Air exchanger (HRV/ERV), fans, ducts, dampers. Everything that brings in fresh air and removes stale air.

C
Cooling

Heat pump, central or wall-mounted air conditioner. Everything that cools and dehumidifies the air during warm periods.

A
Air (treatment)

Filters, humidifiers, purifiers. Everything that treats and improves air quality before it circulates.

Why does it matter? We spend on average 90% of our time indoors. The quality of the air we breathe depends directly on these systems working properly. Poorly maintained or poorly tuned equipment can cause headaches, fatigue and allergies, without anyone linking it to ventilation.

How it works

An inspection, step by step

You don't need to be a technician to know what we're doing at your site.
Here's how an HVAC inspection by VP Expert-Conseil actually unfolds.

01
Initial contact and preparation

We discuss your equipment, maintenance history and concerns. This allows us to arrive on site knowing what to focus on first.

02
Visual and technical inspection on site

Our experts examine each component: equipment condition, duct cleanliness, filter condition, device performance, settings, airflow. We use measuring tools to document what we observe, not just a quick glance.

03
Photos and documentation

Anything problematic is photographed and noted. You'll have visual proof of what was found, useful both for planning work and for discussing with your building manager or insurer.

04
Written report delivered after the visit

You receive a complete report written in plain language: what's fine, what needs correction, and in what order of priority. No incomprehensible technical jargon, just what you need to know to take action.

05
Follow-up and recommendations

If work is needed, we can direct you to the right professionals or support you in planning corrections. Our role is to inform you, not to sell you something.

What you receive

A report that belongs to you

At the end of each inspection, you receive a written document that you can keep, share and use as you see fit. This report is your tool, not ours.

Status of each piece of equipment

What's working well, what's degraded, what should be replaced.

Photos as evidence

Every anomaly is photographed. You see exactly what we're talking about.

Prioritized recommendations

What's urgent, what can wait, what needs monitoring.

Plain language

Written to be understood, even without technical training.

Officially usable

Accepted by insurers, managers, funding organizations.

Independent and neutral

VP Expert-Conseil is not a construction contractor. No conflict of interest.

What we actually do

A complete review of your mechanical systems

Our experts inspect all your equipment and conclude each visit with a clear report: observations, photos and prioritized recommendations.

For whom and why it matters

Four sectors, the same rigor

Residential owners & managers

Do you have an air exchanger, a heat pump or a ventilation system in your house or condo? An inspection confirms that the device is working as it should, that the air is being properly renewed and that you're not heating for nothing. It's also the best way to avoid unpleasant surprises before the cold season or during a real estate transaction.

Contractors & project owners

Before signing a service contract, renovating a building or accepting mechanical work, an independent inspection of your HVAC systems gives you a neutral and documented picture of the equipment condition. No sales angle, no conflict of interest, just an expert report that protects you.

Commercial sector

Restaurants, retail businesses, office buildings: air quality and thermal comfort directly affect your employees, customers and energy consumption. Our HVAC inspections identify efficiency losses, pressure imbalances and filtration issues that often go unnoticed, until someone complains.

Institutional sector

Schools, daycares, senior residences, hospitals, government buildings: your obligations toward occupants are higher, and so are the consequences of poor air quality. Our inspections rely on current standards (ASHRAE, CNESST, MSSS guides) and account for the specific requirements of each type of establishment.

In summary

An HVAC inspection by VP Expert-Conseil is an independent, documented and professional look at your systems, so you can make the right decisions with the right information.
